Tips - DIY Copy-writing

Hello,
   This blog is about protecting our creative rights -  even without money, resources, lawyers, etc...
It is so important to protect your creative rights, in any way we can! In our digital age of technology, it's easy to "rip off" others' work online. I prefer to always ask first if I am thinking of using something that is not
"free to use".
   Our world is filled with so much "stuff", and prices are rising on almost everything! If you have lots of ideas like I do, you probably can't afford copy-writing, trademarking, or getting  patents for any/ every idea.  Due to this factor in my life; I have come up with a way that helps me to know when I had the idea, and it serves the purpose of copy-writing everything. I have been doing this for years, and it has helped me keep some "peace of mind". It was not until a friend noticed it, asked and mentioned I should share the idea.
So I am...
How do I do it?
It's really simple.
 1. Start with brackets ()
 2. Insert in the brackets, the following:
* Date by use of numbers only
* Time without the :
* Your initials (full name)
Once complete, you are done. TA-DAAA!!!
+
As I find more time in the future, I will add to this blog with more information about copy-writes, trademarking, patents, etc...
=
Until next time...
Take care & Safe travels!
Sincerely,
Chris S. (*@^@*)

Collaborations

Hello, This is for those whom may be unaware/ interested in participating with us in these areas.
~*~ +=+ *+=~
RE: Collaborations
All are welcome to join in the fun/ collaborate with us here! This includes all women who may not feel "comfortable" on our sister site/ online presences (Wild Wicked Women - Creative Collective), men, and children. Let us know, if needed.
Notes:
~ It is preferred that younger children be accompanied by a parent, or responsible care giver during our activities/ events that include them. Thankz for understanding.
~ As with all the categories above, feel free to add wherever you wish.
Collaborations just bring on the fun!!! (^^^)
Thankz so much if you do!
~*~ +=+ *+=~
RE: Ideas
Welcome to another resource space! We all can be inspired and discover some really great ideas!
Do you have a lot of ideas like myself?
Have you blogged about it?
Do you have something in mind, that you would like to do with us/ see us do?
Feel free to share it if:
~ You wish to share any
~ As blogs generally have a comments area at the bottom, this would be for forum discussions. We plan on starting a forum page in the future, so if you have any comments for a forum discussion to be started would sure be helpful. Topic suggestions are a great way to let us know specifically what kind of information we might start with.
~ We have ideas flowing in and out quite often, so a list will be generated eventually (hopefully sooner than later, organizations are still in the midst).

~*~ +=+ *+=~
RE: Proposals
Welcome to another resource space! Proposals can be from us or you, and may include anything we are doing here already, or not.

~*~ +=+ *+=~
RE: Suggestions (a.k.a. our Suggestion Box)
Welcome to another resource space!

What It's For:

~ Finding tips or tricks
~ Your feedback to us about any of our "Brainwaves" categories, or otherwise.
How are we doing? Are keeping up enough?
~ Have some helpful information/ "constructive criticisms" to share/ suggest?
Feel free to do it here, and keep it positive!

~*~ +=+ *+=~
& Notes:
~ As we all wish to be treated respectfully, we also wish for suggestions to be presented as constructive criticism and not "hate mail". Also "class, not crass" is preferred. For example, here's my 1st suggestion to myself:
Dear me,
I have noticed how much you seem overwhelmed at times, by what needs to be done. Please do try to improve on my tardiness! This will help you more than you may realize.
Thankz (^&^)
~ If we get enough of any specific suggestion(s), we may just look into it with a forum discussion first (See above in RE Ideas)
~ Please know that all decisions are up to the individuals involved, and suggestions do not have to be followed.
Thankz (^&^)

Pirate Lore 1

Hello Darlingks,
Today I bring you some Pirate Lore from a favored book... "Pirates - Most Wanted (Thirteen of the Most Bloodthirsty Pirates Ever to Sail The High Seas)"

My personal notes:
Evil Deeds & Bold Strategies of these Notorious & Knavish Captains & Sailors were the cause of their becoming "The Most Wanted Men of the High Seas"!!!

They were:
Women:
Anne Bonny, Charlotte De Berry, & Mary Read

Men:
Bartholomew Roberts (A.K.A. Black Bart),
Edward "Ned" Low,
Edward Teach (A.K.A. Black Beard),
Henry Avery,
Henry Morgan,
Jean Bart,
Samuel Bellamy (A.K.A. Black Sam),
Thomas Tew,
William Dampier,
William Kidd,

These VILE people MUST be ARRESTED & CAPTURED!!! BIG REWARD FOR ALL/ ANY INFO.!!!
= = = = = = = = =

ANNE BONNY - Listed with MARY READ - - - 2 of the MOST FEROCIOUS EVER!!!

Anne was Irish-born

@ 16 she fell in LOVE with a sea captain, and they eloped to New Providence (Bahamas). There she disguised herself as a man, and ran away with Captain Jack Rackham (A.K.A. "Calico Jack"). While there she met Mary Read, who decided to join Captain Jack's Rackham's crew.
+++++++++
&
Mary Read was London-born - late 17th Century.

To secure an inheritance, she was disguised as a boy all her pre-teen life. This created a liking for men's clothes.

As a teen she joined the navy, fell in Love with a soldier, and married him. After his death she boarded a West Indies-bound ship wearing men's clothes once again. While on board, the ship was attacked by Captain Jack Rackham's ship. She decided to join his crew, and she met Anne Bonny.

While part of Captain Jack Rackham's crew, they together:
They became close friends. &
Earned a reputation for being "more ferocious than the men"!!!

When Captain Jack Rackham was eventually caught, they were revealed to be women. And they were brought to trial with him.

They were ALL condemned to hang. Anne & Mary pleaded pregnancy, and were imprisoned.

Anne disappeared - possible freedom due to her father's influencial help.

Mary died in 1720 of a fever, while still in prison.

It did not say for sure which happened first between Anne & Mary (in 1720).
+++++++++++++

Quoting:
+ "From the trial transcriptions of Anne Bonny and Mary Read, 1721"

"The two women... were then on board the said sloop, and wore men's jackets, and long trousers, and handkerchiefs tied about their heads; and... each of them had a machete and a pistol in their hands, and cursed and swore at the men..."

CHARLOTTE DE BERRY (A.K.A. Captain Rodolph)
WANTED FOR: Beheading a Captain.
Last Seen: Post violent storm: Adrift - possibly towards Ghana.
Appearance & Manner:
+ "Passionate & Spirited"
+ "Strikingly beautiful"
+ "Dark, penetrating eyes"

1636 - England-born
1654 Active piracy along African coast.

@ 18 she disguised herself as a man, to accompany a sailor she fell in Love with.

They fought together in 6 battles, until an officer on board became jealousy, and had the sailor she loved flogged to Death!!! For he had recognized her as a women, and fallen in love with her himself.

Once returned to port:
Charlotte waited for the officer in a dark alley with her 2 pistols ready. She killed him, and took his money.

Worked in the Waterfront taverns that sailors frequented - as an entertainer. There she let one sailor "carried her off to sea" with him. They were attacked by pirates!!! & Here is where she cut off the Captain's head, but after engaging him.

After this:
Due to such adoration from crew, she was elected LEADER. She then took the name "Captain Rodolph, Charlotte".

Led African coast raids. Their prey: Gold-laden trade ships.

Eventually:
A wealthy Spaniard joined their crew, and she married him. A violent storm wrecked their ship and set survivors adrift on a raft for days.

Once food ran out, cannibalism became MANDATORY. They saw it as 'who was eaten to save the rest', and they drew straws. She was horrified to find, that it was her husband. His dead body was sliced & divided among the crew.

Soon after they were rescued, but then were attacked by pirates. After helping in the fight, she jumped overboard to be with her husband in Death.
+ + + + + + + + + + + + + +

Many more women pirates were probably out there, but escaped history unnoticed!!!
Some are amongst us, and we know it...

That is all I am doing for now darlingks. I will be adding more later.
Until then...
Pleasant journeys to the Land of Dreams & Mares!!!

12 Possibly Unknown Facts About Creative Thinkers

Hello,
I recently found a picture that inspired me to make quite a few changes, as you will see below. This often happens, but this one touched on a vague topic that is not just a part of my life, but my very being. So I decided to share my inspired thoughts/ changes through blogging. I started with this... Note to Self:
I have some changes to make about what is stated below. Please re-read & change where I feel it's needed to create a more accurate view point. Thankz
Sincerely,
Me
===
Quoting Exceptional Living (on FB) - includes their picture that (was shared) started my brain thinking in this area once again, and their shared info./ explanations. Also sharing my thoughts/ changes to their info. and explanations. I did the comparisons all the way through, even including how they "signed off" at the end. I hope you enjoy this, and that it inspires you in whichever way it may.
=
They called it: "12 Most Striking Tendencies of Creative People"
I call it: '12 Possibly Unknown Facts About Creative Thinkers'

Theirs: Ever wonder what makes those wacky, creative types tick? How is it that some people seem to come up with all kinds of interesting, original work while the rest of us trudge along in our daily routines?
Creative people are different because they operate a little differently.

Mine: Ever wonder why some people can come up with unique, or brilliant ideas and projects? Or how they think, and can see things in perspectives that others may seem to struggle with in these ways? Creative thinkers see things differently, and "follow the beat of their own drum".
=
Theirs: 1. Are easily bored
A short attention span isn’t always a good thing, but it can indicate that the creative person has grasped one concept and is ready to go on to the next one.

Mine: 1. Seem to be easily bored
Seeming to be easily bored, does not always mean that it's a case of a short attention span. It can show that the idea has been understood, and the creative person is ready for the next step or idea. It can also mean that they are not interested. It's good to check which one.
=
Theirs: 2. Are willing to take risks
Fearlessness is absolutely necessary for creating original work, because of the possibility of rejection. Anything new requires a bit of change, and most of us don’t care for change that much.

Mine: 2. Are risk takers
Creatives are known for this, as they "put themselves out there" with their creations. And are usually accepting of, ready for, and inviting change. Many are free spirits by nature, with lots of spontaneous and sporatic thoughts and ideas. This helps them to be prepared for change, and many see change as natural learning paths of life progression - not a negative.
=
Theirs: 3. Don’t like rules
Rules, to the creative person, are indeed made to be broken. They are created for us by other people, generally to control a process; the creative person needs freedom in order to work.

Mine: 3. Known for "bending"/ breaking rules
Creatives tend to venture out of the "normal", and create new things. They tend to use rules more as moral guidelines. Many know that sometimes bending or breaking the rules, is how we learn to progress. And as with plans, rules can change - even last minute.
=
Theirs: 4. Ask “what if…”
Seeing new possibilities is a little risky, because it means that something will change and some sort of action will have to be taken. Curiosity is probably the single most important trait of creative people.

Mine: 4. Want to know "what if..."
Creative thinkers are use to asking "what if...", as they tend to have an always curious mind. They want to explore every avenue to answer "what if...". With active imaginations many are inspired to continue once started, and yearn for more. Once they find the answer(s), they either expand from there, or move on.
=
Thiers: 5. Make lots of mistakes
A photographer doesn’t just take one shot, and a composer doesn’t just write down a fully realized symphony. Creation is a long process, involving lots of boo-boos along the way. A lot goes in the trash.

Mine: 5. Are ok with making mistakes
They see mistakes as chances to learn, develop, and grow. The creative process itself, is an adventure along the journeys through Life. Mistakes are seen as the obsticles, that challenge us to be better than we already are.
=
Theirs: 6. Collaborate
The hermit artist, alone in his garret, is a romantic notion but not always an accurate one. Comedians, musicians, painters, chefs all get a little better by sharing with others in their fields.

Mine: 6. Collaborative
Some creative thinkers like to work alone, with the notion that others may "screw up" the creation. Some like to involve others in the process, with the notion of "two brains are better than one". While some are flexible to one degree or another, and can enjoy both. Adaptability can be part of collaborating, just as much as it is part of life's survival.
=
Theirs: 7. Are generous
Truly creative people aren’t afraid to give away their hard-earned knowledge. The chef can give you the recipe because she knows you won’t make it like she does anyway.

Mine: 7. Are givers
Creative thinkers like to share their knowledge for various reasons. Some do so because they have a giving nature, like to help others to grow in positive ways, and see knowledge as tools meant for everyone. Some do because as everyone knows, no two individuals are alike and each does things differently. And many "see the big picture", and do so for both reasons. When everyone grows in positive ways, life prospers.
=
Theirs: 8. Are independent
Stepping off the beaten path may be scary, but creative people do it. Children actually do this very well but are eventually trained to follow the crowd.

Mine: 8. Independently minded
Creative thinkers are strong individuals that like independence, as it enable them to learn and do at their own pace, work with and without others or assistance, and think "outside the box". If they can train their children to retain this into their adult lives, they are happy to do it.
=
Theirs: 9. Experiment
Combining things that don’t normally go together can result in brilliance or a giant mess. Trial and error are necessary to the creative process.

Mine: 9. Experimenters
Creative thinkers like to explore, learn, and grow. With large imaginations, their active minds look for new and fun experiments - whether it's what they know, or not. Experiments lead to many discoveries; while mistakes and failures are growth opportunities, and tools to learn from.
=
Theirs: 10. Motivate themselves
There does seem to be a spark that creative people share, an urgent need to make things. They are willing to run the inherent risks of doing something new in order to get a new result.

Mine: 10. Motivators
Creative thinkers are usually self-motivated, inspired by their surroundings, and they tend to motivate and inspire others by how they think or what they do. They are often accused of "thinking outside the box", being "out there" as if in space, and even "ahead of their time".
=
Theirs: 11. Work hard
This is probably the most overlooked trait of creative people. People who don’t consider themselves to be creative assume that people who are creative are magical, that ideas just pop into their heads effortlessly. Experienced creative people have developed processes and discipline that make it look easy.

Mine: 11. Hard workers
Creative thinkers tend to work long and often late hours, fussing over many or every detail of their task(s). They often get so involved with their work, that they may forget to take a break, lose track of time, or even forget others are around them.
=
Theirs: 12. Aren’t alone
The good news is that it’s possible for everyone to be creative. There are creative accountants, creative cooks, creative janitors, creative babysitters. Any profession or any hobby can be made into a creative pursuit by embracing and using creative traits.

Mine: 12. Are not the only ones
Creative thinkers are aware that they are not the only ones to think this way, that everyone can be creative, and that creativity can be in anything. Many are participants, contributors, and community builders within thier groups, businesses, and communities. Many believe that no one that creates, is alone within their arts & culture communities.
=
Theirs: Do you consider yourself creative? (Say yes.) Finding something you’re really passionate about will help you take a chance and might just result in something wildly creative.

Mine: Are you also a creative thinker? What do you like to do or find interesting? And are you willing to pursue it and explore? Thinking that you can't do something, is often a fear of the unknown until we try it - really try it. Underestimating ourselves and giving up, does not allow for the practice needed to get use to it. After all "practice makes perfect" they say, and everyone can be a creative thinker.
=
Theirs: Written by Kim Phillips (originally)
Now they have a short biography of her at the bottom of the page.

What Matters To You?

~~~+++=== BLOGGING WITH PURPOSE ===+++~~~
[0509121PMishC.E.S.]
I have read many blogs along my "investigative journeys" of sharing 'wacky celebrations' daily. Some have been really great to find, but not all have much to say that is of real importance. So with thoughts of "quality over quantity", I would rather blog of things that matter in life (of course, I will still blog about other "life experiences" also).
This is not a "new" idea; as it has been discussed before in the "Access Creativity" group that I attend, and probably within many other groups of creative thinkers. It was a day in May, when I finally figured out how to 'Le Challenge' it for us all.
So here it is... (^^^)
An ongoing 'Le Challenge': To me and anyone interested.
WHAT TO BLOG ABOUT: Any/ many different important life matters.
What are YOU curious about?
How/ does it affect the creative aspects in your chosen area(s) of interest/ profession(s)/ life?
TOPIC EXAMPLES:
1. TREES: the importance of them, why we need to replant them, and why it's CRUCIAL to stop cutting our trees/ forests of the world!
An example of this is shown well through the animated movie "Fern Gulley". This gives a great introduction to these thoughts, and a possible solution (stopping the cutting) of our forests. In the movie a character named Zack fights against technology/ the "evil spirit" of mankind.
2. Music Industry:
How commercializing artists takes away from the artist's creativity & process of creating.
3. Conforming to "normal" standards in each genre of commercialism.
Until next time...
Take care & Safe travels
9. This wish"
This is where I cut in... (^^^)Pur
9. This wish can come true if:
a) You believe it can actually happen - ENVISION it!!! Feel free to ask yourself Q's like: What would it "be" like? ALL 5 senses to be included here. Feel free to write a list.
b) Look deeper into all the steps listed in a), and find out the "tree" of steps/ options to gaining more "ground/ access" to this "Big picture" of this dream (listed as your answer to the Q #9a) above). Feel free to write a list.
c) Time to "break down" steps listed in b), into steps that can be taken EACH DAY! A great example is our "carbon footprints" on our planet that we make each day. What "eco-friendly" steps do we take? ACTION is needed NOW!
BONUS
d) Make a list for each of the above with YOU in mind. Not what "should be", unless you are willing to be one to do so yourself. But what is relevant to you/ your own life. Including everyone in it that can/ does influence you, as this may take affect throughout your decisions.
Take a look at what you could achieve!!! It's up to you from here where it takes you... Life can be tricky, where are we going??? I am currently still "working on this" myself.
Sincerely,
Chris S. (*@^@*)
Our Enemies Within - Part 2
Hello,
As I continue this blog in regards to our Inner Demons, I also continue speaking indirectly of friendship. Today I am speaking directly about a status post from a friend of mine - Jenn P. who said "fear is a clusterf***er. Bump it off the way, and Joy follows..."
My first response to this became too long, and I decided it's better shared here.:
MY THOUGHTS ON THIS SUBJECT
Absolutely sista!!!
+
This reminds me of  some wise words spoken in a Bruce Lee  movie, that basically say... "There are 3 inner demons - hate, fear, and anger."
My belief:
This is much more true than some may realize; and as such, some of my friends have called this the "black/ dark" side of our "human nature/ souls". It is up to each of us in our world to learn & practiced ways to rid ourselves of these, and I am no exception. (just being honest)
My observance:
Conflict resolution/ anger management classes are not always the "solution" we may be looking for, or may be the "hidden starting of a solution". Some of us have gone more than once; as it is usually out of frustrations and thoughts of the classes "not working".
It's not always easy to remember the practice examples given, or to remind ourselves to practice them during these moments. If we can realize when these emotions are "running amuk/ taking over", then it is easier to remember & practice them.  To "identify the problem" while it's happening/ before it begins, is not an easy task.
My perspective:
It's precisely this not remembering to practice/ thinking during the "heat of the moment", that is our biggest challenge and partial to all three of our inner demons listed above. With all this going on, it may seem overwhelming. Time to take a breather, and relax. As I have blogged of this in my previous blog "Our Enemies Within - Part 1", thinking of how we want to be treated by others can help us to become better friends - not only to ourselves, but others also.
+
Until next time!
Take care & Safe travels!
Sincerely,
Chris S. (*@^@*)
